About Ride 2B

Ride 2B is an independent guide for people learning to ride a Class 2B motorcycle in Singapore. We explain the licence process in the order you will meet it and break each circuit course into the technique that actually gets you through it.

Where our information comes from

Process rules, test requirements and fees are checked against the Singapore Police Force (Traffic Police) and the published course pages of the three driving centres: Bukit Batok Driving Centre (BBDC), ComfortDelGro Driving Centre (CDC) and Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC). Riding technique draws on instructor guidance and the experience of recent learners.

Each guide shows the date it was last checked. Fees in particular change often, so treat our figures as a planning estimate and confirm the current rate with your centre before you pay.

How we choose videos

We only embed a video when watching a skill teaches something text cannot, such as the line through a crank course or how slowly to ride a plank. Where possible we use the driving centres' own course videos so you see the layout you will be tested on. Videos load only when you tap play, which keeps pages fast on mobile data.

What we are not

We are not affiliated with the Traffic Police or any driving centre, and nothing here replaces your instructor's assessment. If something on this site disagrees with what your centre tells you, follow your centre and let us know so we can check it.
